Combed cotton is a soft version of cotton made by treating the cotton fibres before they are spun to yarn.  This results in a stronger, more comfortable fabric that lacks short breakbale threads that stick out and irritate the skin.

In addition the treated fibres lie together more tightly after combining making combed cotton less likely to fray and unravel as well as providing a better printing surface and substrate.
